This June, Saj, Theo (bottom right) and me took part in the RSPCA’s Big Walkies with our friends Rebecca and Rolo (bottom center) the dog. Along with over 400 other dogs and their Humans. It was brilliant.
It was so well organised and there were so many dogs to say hello to. Theo raised £100 and got a lovely bandanna, a certificate and a rosette (that are of pride of place on our fridge) He also got a lovely goodie bag but most of all The Best Walk ever.
We decided to walk the 5k. What was even better it was right behind our house. We had a nice brisk walk as a warm up before registration.
Theo was on his best behavior. I was really impressed with how he behaved. He turned one two weeks ago so I expected him to be a little naughty around all these dogs. He got lots of compliments on how well-behaved he was for his age. Now I would like to say that was because of our extensive training but the reality is he’s just a big cutie that loves everyone and wants cuddles. He knows if he snuggles into people they can’t resist. Also, he was not interested in joining in with all the barking.
After the walk, we relaxed in the RSPCA village. The village had stalls, food tents, a Photo Booth (which we forgot to go in!!!) and of course doggy cool off areas.
You find out more here there are Big Walkies events going on all the way to October!
You know you want to register you and your dog! Look how happy it made our Theo.
