The Vegan Kind Unboxing – January

Today my Vegan kind January box came. No, it didn’t turn up late I decided to order the January one in February.

For those who don’t know The Vegan Kind is a subscription box for Vegans, you don’t have to be a vegan to get one, though. There are two kinds; a Lifestyle Box and a Beauty Box. You can sign up for 3, 6 or 12 months or if you like just buy a one off box. That is what I have have done. This time I have gone for the Lifestyle box I plan to get the Beauty Box next.

More information can be found here The Vegan Kind and if you sign up to their newsletter you get a £5 voucher code off your first box! Win Win!

So here’s what’s inside.

Firstly, you get all the information you normally find in a subscription box that includes information on the products.

In this month’s box you also get a bit of information about Veganuary and a recipe card for Roasted Butternut, Sage and Chilli Soup. Which looks very simple to make, my favourite kind of recipes.

Now on to the goodies!

Ninas Popcorn – Cacao, Goji Berried & Pistachios

I will be honest. I didn’t think I would like these but I was wrong, I love them. I have seen them popping up everywhere on social media and every time I see them I think “why would you want anything but sweet popcorn”. To be honest I thought they would be more of a savoury snack. They are sweet and delicious! They even passed my husband’s taste test! These I will be buying again!

Conscious – Organic Raw Chocolate – Essential Orange

I had high hopes for this as I really did love Terry’s Chocolate Orange. I liked this.  As it is raw chocolate it softer than “normal” chocolate and has a stronger taste but it is definitely an alternative to Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Will I buy it again? Probably but only if I was to see it. I don’t think I will be hunting it down.

Yummy Earth Naturals – Sour Beans

Love them! I am not normally a fan of sour sweets but they have a lovely sweet taste to them also. I love Jelly Beans but as they use beeswax, they are a no no.

Rebel Kitchen – Banana “milk”shake

I don’t like Banana flavoured milkshake so it is really hard to be unbiased. This is nice but I couldn’t drink it all. It doesn’t taste that bad and I would be interested in trying their other products.

Yushoi – Snapea rice sticks – Sweet Chilli Lemon

These are okay. They lack a bit of flavour to me. I like the consistency and will eat the pack, ha – They are very moreish!! But would I buy them? No, I don’t think so. Maybe they will grow on me.

The Smarter Tea – All new vitamin enriched green tea

I haven’t tried these mostly because I will keep them for my mum. She loves her fruit teas and always asks if I have any in when she comes to stay. You get four in the pack.

Detox – Apple and Blackcurrant

Boost – Raspberry and Pomegranate

Multea – Lemon and Peach

Imminitea – Orange and Blueberry

And lastly, some badges from vegan kind. These are really cute. #avocadogoals in my favourite.

Overall I really like this box. I am really surprised I liked so much. I have had subscription boxes in the past and found that I really only liked one or two items in it. I think I would carry on with a subscription with The Vegan Kind but I will be try the beauty box next. I hope that I am just as happy with that too!

***This box was bought with my own money and was not gifted to me by the company or any of the companies within the box. All opinions are my own***
